Services

Develop PHP backends, connect software, automate data exchanges, integrate payments and stabilize existing applications.

These are examples of assignments and possible deliverables. We agree on the scope and acceptance criteria before the work begins.

Develop and extend PHP backends

Your application needs a new feature, a business rule or an internal tool. I work on the backend while taking account of the code already in place.

Example needs

  • Add an approval step to a business tool.
  • Update booking rules in an application.

Possible deliverables

  • Backend features within an agreed scope
  • Tests for the affected behaviour
  • Technical notes and handover

Connect software and partner APIs

Two systems need to exchange information: your website, a partner service or an internal application. I build the connection and handle errors in those exchanges.

Example needs

  • Keep a product catalogue in sync with an online store.
  • Transfer bookings between two software systems.

Possible deliverables

  • Connection between the relevant systems
  • Field mapping and error handling
  • API documentation and validation scenarios

Automate data exchanges and business workflows

Product data and business processes need to move between tools. I implement the rules and exchanges that connect those steps.

Example needs

  • Avoid entering the same data in several tools.
  • Generate PDF documents from your application’s data.

Possible deliverables

  • Data transfer or processing routines
  • Validation rules and error reporting
  • Documentation of the workflow and its operation

Integrate and improve payment flows

You need to add a payment provider, support recurring payments or investigate transactions that fail. I work on the backend steps and notifications involved.

Example needs

  • Add a payment method or support subscriptions.
  • Investigate why a payment is displayed with the wrong status.

Possible deliverables

  • Payment integration or targeted corrections
  • Tests for transaction states and failure scenarios
  • Documentation for support and maintenance

Review, take over and stabilize an application

An existing application has recurring incidents or needs to be understood before it can evolve. I start with the code, logs and a reproducible description of the problem.

Example needs

  • Find out why an operation keeps failing.
  • Take over an application before adding new features.

Possible deliverables

  • Findings and prioritized recommendations
  • Corrections agreed after the review
  • Verification scenarios and handover notes

How would we work together?

A process for understanding the need, agreeing on the work and handing it over.

  1. First conversation

You describe the problem, the people affected and what you would like to achieve.

  2. Understand the need

We look at the tools, constraints, useful access and questions that still need answers.

  3. Agree on the scope of work

We define priorities, deliverables, scope boundaries and acceptance criteria.

  4. Implementation

The work progresses in steps, with discussions about changes and how to verify them.

  5. Handover

You receive the agreed code and documentation, with the explanations needed to take over.

An application to extend or an integration to build?

Describe the current situation and what you would like to change. We can then identify the right scope of work.
